Carlson - Stanley D. Carlson, Sr, 82, 2347 Wisconsin Road, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec 31,
1988 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born Dec 2, 1906 in Chicago, son of John
& Helen Carlson. Lived 66 years in Rockford coming from Chicago. Married Florence Gustafson in
Rockford Sept 24, 1934; she died in 1967. Then married Lucille Langhoff-Zoeller in Rockford Aug 3,
1968. Employed as machinist by Rockford Forging Die & Tool Co 35 years, before that was milkman for
Central Dairy in northeast Rockford. Member Elim Baptist Church, past choir director and Sunday
school teacher. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, son Stanley D. Jr (Joyce) in Alabama, daughter
Janet (Bill) Anderson, Rockford; stepdaughter, Linda (Ron Sr) Price, Durand. 7 grandchildren & 11
great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by parents, two brothers & three
sisters.
Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan 3 in Wilbur Christenson-Simmons Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, with
the Rev. Dean Parker, pastor of Elim Baptist Church, officiating. Burial at Arlington Memorial
Park. Memorials to the church.
